Continuum Fingerboard - Haken Audio  E-mail

Here is a 9 minute demo of the Haken Audio Continuum Fingerboard. A very intuitive control surface that tracks and updates x position (lateral) for pitch, y position (front-to-back) and z (pressure) position of one to sixteen fingers every 1.33 milliseconds.

Input values appear at the Firewire and Midi Out ports. One inch in the x-scale of the playing surface is 184 cents (73 cents per cm) and the total pitch range of the full size Continuum Fingerboard outputs nearly 8 octaves.

Features

  • Pitch resolution allows for seamless polyphonic glissandos and the ability to microtune intervals on the fly.
  • 1.33 ms response time delivers ultra fast performance response.

  • Intelligent pitch processing available for rounding pitches to equal temperament, just, and user definable scales.
